The Casual Guy Gives It a Try

I'm a casual sort of guy with a wide variety of interests: Writing, photography, music, cooking, gardening, DIY.... The list goes on. I thoroughly enjoy learning new things and developing skills with that knowledge. I like gadgets and putting them to the test. The same goes for techniques.

In my trial pursuits, I've experienced both thrills and disappointments. The objective of this website is to document these experiences, all while being true to my moniker of The Casual Guy - I don't aspire to be an expert. My intent is to filter through the mass of information out there, much of which is given by accomplished and seasoned creators, and figure out the casual pursuer's approach. For the majority of us out there, in the pursuit of our hobbies and interests, we want information, tutorials, and lessons to be accessible. When I cook, I don't need it to be worthy of the Cordon Bleu. When I photograph, it isn't with the goal of gracing the cover of National Geographic.

In the spirit of being accessible, noting that my own interests are widely eclectic, I'd be thrilled if you, readers and subscribers, send me your ideas of what I should try next.
